Up for Review: Magnavox 37MF337B LCD TV. This HDTV is the latest offering from Philips Magnavox. It has a resolution of 1366 x 768p which is good enough to view all the programs on TV. Since it does not have 1080p resolution, it does not allow DVD movies to be viewed with perfect picture quality. It also has a contrast ratio of 1200:1 which is not very good. The contrast can still be bettered to give an ideal black level. Good black levels are essential to give very good picture quality.

A review shows that there is a VGA input in the Magnavox 37MF337B which allows the HDTV to be used as a computer monitor. You can now browse the net on the big screen and have a lot of fun. The picture quality is also better on the HDTV. This HDTV also has an in-built ATSC/QAM tuner which can carry signals which are free-to-air. You do not need a separate set-top box to see free channels.
