In addition to 1080i and 720P, Vizio VP503 offers HD formats and an integrated standard and high definition NTSC/ATSC/clear QAM digital tuner so that you can enjoy the high definition content to the fullest.  With a higher native resolution of 1365 x 768 and high contrast ratio of 30,000:1, Vizio VP503 produces amazing colors. The giant 50 inch screen gives the feeling of amphitheater viewing.

The only negative: no 1080p resolution support.  Many plasma TV’s of this size can display 1080p resolution.  If you are a true HDTV geek, this is a deal breaker but for the average HDTV viewer, you probably won’t notice a difference.
