Vizio has really knocked one out of the park with the P50HDTV10A (VP50) 50″ 
Plasma HDTV. This Plasma TV has just about everything you need for hundreds less than the big brand name manufacturers. A 50″ Plasma for under $1300 (under $1000 refurbished) is unheard of. Many people are wary of buying Vizio and other lesser known brands which is completely understandable. The Vizio P50HDTV10a is nothing to be afraid of, however. The Vizio P50HDTV10A has a top of the line 10,000:1 contrast ratio which means that the black colors on your screen will be very deep black and the color will be perfect and bright. It has tons of rear inputs and all the ones you need. The only thing this HDTV is really missing is a cablecard and 1080P resolutions. Don’t worry about that too much though, most people don’t use a cablecard and 1080p Plasma TV’s are very expensive. In the 50 inch plasma category, this is definitely one of the best value sets you can find.
