Panasonic Viera TC-P54VT25 Review: 54” Plasma HDTV
Up for Review: Panasonic Viera TC-P54VT25 Plasma TV. Panasonic has taken on the development of the Plasma TVs with fervor and it enters 2010 with even more improved versions of the HDTVs. The people are demanding more value for their money and Panasonic is making all efforts to rise to the occasion. The NeoPDP panels are intended to give the deepest blacks and the purest whites which look the best even in very bright environments. You will also get reduced reflections because of the panel along with sharper pictures. And as before, Panasonic has availed the THX certification for this series as well. But like in most other TVs, the main feature attracting the attention of the viewers is the 3D technology.
Panasonic has also tried to make its HDTVs as ecologically sound as possible. Accordingly, the life span is a good 100,000 hours which means you can view this TV for 30 years at the rate of 8 hours a day without any problem. To make it very safe, no lead or mercury has been added to the panels. On the other hand, better phosphor mixtures and more advanced technology has been used to make it more eco-friendly. But the bottom line is always improved picture quality which has been the hallmark of Panasonic in the Plasma HDTVs. The great images are brought alive when you stream content because of the IPTV functionality.

It was found that the picture quality of this TV was much better than the LCD TVs released this year and having 3D technology. The reason was found to rest with the 600 Hz sub field drive that this TV has. This allows each eye to view a resolution of 1080p.But in the case of LCDs, even a high refresh rate of 240 Hz could bring only about 800 lines of resolution to each eye. Special eyewear is provided with each one of these models so that the viewer can watch real 3D content. But you need the source to be authentic 3D to be able to watch it. With so many good features and superb technology, you will get your money’s worth by buying this TV.
