Panasonic TC-P54V10 Review- 54” Plasma HDTV

Up for review: Panasonic TC-P54V10 Plasma TV.  Panasonic has implemented improved 24p processing in its V10 series of Plasma HDTV. The Panasonic TC-P54V10 is one of the four models of the upcoming V10 Plasma line up.

24p Cinematic Playback being the most remarkable feature of the V10 series, the Panasonic TC-P54V10 can be expected to Panasonic’s high-end Plasmas line with state-of-the-art technologies. The company informs that it has improved the 24p mode processing in its models of V10 series. The models will refresh at 96Hz and will eliminate the flicker of 24p mode that was present in some of the previous models from Panasonic. For the discerning HDTV buyers, who are looking forward to a new color system, the model is going to introduce testing dubbed “Digital Cinema Color”. The Panasonic TC-P54V10 is featured with THX-display certification, the feature that Panasonic has added to its V10 series. With this feature, the viewer can enjoy a color space that matches the original content color. The Digital color system is designed to offer “movie-essential” colors. When adjusted to D6500 the Panasonic TC-P54V10 is going to provide color information.

The Panasonic TC-P54V10 also features 600Hz sub-field drive that helps fast processing during video game playback.

With the 54” Neo PDP screen, Panasonic has introduced its Neo PDP technology in the V10 series of Plasma HDTV. The technology includes 40,000:1 static contrast ratio, 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 1080 lines of motion resolution, 600Hz sub drive. With this high-end technology Panasonic claims to offer substantial improvement in the picture quality through faster response rate and higher static contrast ratio.

Panasonic has introduced VIERACast Internet connectivity to partner in its V10 series. The viewer can find the VIERACast menu system in the Panasonic TC-P54V10 model that allows video rental from Amazon when connected to the Internet.

The Panasonic TC-P54V10 is featured with “one-pane-of-glass” design, and according to the reviews, it is going to create a great look.
