The LG 60PS60 also lacks the Ethernet connectivity that is present in the PS80 series. However, it features LG’s Simplink connectivity.
The LG’s PS60 series will be available in 50 and 60 inch sizes. You will find some pros and cons of the plasma HDTV in various LG 60PS60 reviews. Overall, the 60PS60 HDTV has everything you need. The PS80 model has some added features mentioned above but you may find they aren’t worth the extra expense to you. If you’re looking for a large Plasma screen and don’t want to spend a ton, you should definitely consider the LG 60PS60 Plasma HDTV.

I bought a LG 60PS60 on november 1st 2009. When I received it, I was impressed by the quality of sound, image and movments. I appreciated also the side plugs. BUT I had a big dust between the two glasses = black spot ON THE SCREEN. I called the store where I bought it and they came to replace it. Second tv; image was not as clear as the first one and also I had 1 burned pixel (flashing red) (FIRST-SECON DAY OF USE). I went to the store, they came to my house and changed it again. 3rd TV, I pluged it … and it was not working at all ! So I camed to the store again TO CHANGE IT FOR A SAMSUNG = NO MORE LG FOR ME !!! (3/3 !!!)
i purchased this tv in August and have nothing but problems.
First of all the bottom half of the screen lost half of its horizontal pixels in the first few days of owning it. I exchanged the tv for a new one and the same thing happened again.
This time the repairman came out to fix it. He replaced a card in it, but a short time later it happened for a third time. he came out again but didn’t have the part so had to order it. After it arrived he came out again to install it. Then it happened again, apparently this fail has happened with so many people that they didn’t have any more cards and had to figure out a work around. Which was installing a little plastic spacer on the horizontal pixel card (sorry if i’m using the wrong names, I’m not a technician I just watched one)
Then the sound card had issues so the motherboard was replaced.
NOW last night the power just died. I was watching tv and it clicked off and won’t turn on.
Every time it dies I have to wait at least a week for a repairman(called sears last night told 9 days) sometimes have to wait for a part (another week) then set up a time for him to come out again (another week) so I’m without a tv for 2-3 weeks each time.
Not mentioning how much I paid in the first place, but have since purchased another warranty for a couple of years because even though its under its manufacturers 1yr warranty I dont want to get caught without some coverage for this piece of s#!t due to the fact that a motherboard alone is about $700 which has been replaced multiple times.
Stay away DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY THIS TV!! The 60PS60 is great but after 3 months the screen went out.. Which is okay! i understand its not a perfect world… But now TWO MONTHS later.. i have a new mother board, screen, X,Y buffers.. EVERYTHING that can be replaced! after the 3rd time the repair people came from an Hr away.. It worked for abut 30 mins!!!! went out again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LG is giving me the run around not wanting to give me a refund OR exchange for a new/different tv… Never again will i buy a Single LG product… this was first and def the F*CK1NG Last!!!
