Review of LG 60PG60: 60” 1080p Plasma TV

LG 60PG60 is the latest sophisticated HDTV innovation from LG group which projects elegance through its uncommonly slim and frameless design. With its impressive THX mode which can produce videos with perfect color and vivid hues and audio that really pleases your ears, you will feel like taking the cinema to your home. The cinema-like image quality of LG 60PG60 is no doubt to be questioned as it is manufactured by a brand best known for its dazzling television image quality. The ambient light reflecting off the screen of the LG 60PG60 is soothing for the eyes and the standard is above average as compared to most Plasma televisions.

With four HDMI inputs, three on the back and one on the side, two component video jacks, an AV input with S-Video and composite video, an RF input cable, optical and coaxial digital outputs, a VGA-style PC input, RS-232 port for custom installation, connectivity is not a problem for LG 60PG60.

Even though this gigantic, 60-inch plasma has many similarities with its 50-inch brother, the 50PG60, the 60PG60 has its unique charm which can’t be ignored. This is the largest flat-panel HDTV this year to be certified for its THX display feature.

On the down side, it’s a bit tedious to navigate the extensive Expert menu. Also a text explanation feature accompanying the menu items would have been a better idea. Apart from this, LG 60PG60 can easily surpass other Plasma TV models with its features as well as performance.
