The LG 50PG30 is decked out with Dual XD Engines™ technology. This advanced video processing feature enhances color accuracy, optimizes black levels and panel brightness and even reduces image noise and artifacts. With de-interlacing of analog signal feature, this technology is also compatible with the performance level of modern flat panel technologies.

Thanks to its super-fast 180Hz effect video-processing speed in this LG series, action sequences in movies and sports especially car or bike racing are a treat to watch. You can change to cinema, sports or game mode through the AV mode for this mode optimizes the picture according to the video and audio content.

The LG 50PG30 Plasma TV has built-in digital tuners fueled by Dolby® Digital decoding and Clear Voice technology along with hidden speakers to take audio enjoyment to next level. Some other prominent features of this HDTV are super-fast 180Hz effect video-processing speed, Dual XD Engines™ for fluid motion pictures, and three HDMI and one PC input including the digital ATSC and QAM tuners.

The only reported drawback is the picture quality of the LG 50PG30 lags behind a bit as compared to other 1080p plasma TVs. This HDTV seems to have less accurate primary colors and color decoding feature as a result of which a lighter shade of black images are reproduced. Its PC sources also generate softer images.
