With its high contrast day and night adjustable DayBright reception, the Westinghouse W2613 LCD HDTV offers vivid and lifelike images and its elegantly thin, wall-mountable and frame-ready design complements any decor. You can enjoy your favorite game, surf the net and even watch DVDs, thanks to the multiple HD inputs including HDMI.

But yes, be warned that from the factory it comes with the backlight jacked up to MAX (start at 5 and go from there), and its dynamic contrast is also enabled by default. You need to turn it off in Advanced video options. The Front firing 2-5 watt speakers’ are not impressive at all but VGA inputs provide the much needed support to produce better surround-sound. Moreover, the 3D Noise Reduction feature discards any unwanted sound to provide a better quality of audio.

I bought the Westinghouse W2613 26” HDTV last Nov (2008) and barely three months it has issues. I can’t get the power on with the remote or from the TV. It will turn on at its convenience (sometimes after hitting the remote button for more than 20 times). It is not a battery issue as the TV switch also doesn’t work. Please be careful before buying Westinghouse.

I bought this TV last Oct (2008). It is currently back at westinghouse for either repair or replacement. Apparently they can’t decide. I’d prefer a refund. They’ve had this thing for almost a month now. An 8 month old TV with no picture or sound is JUNK!
