Looking at connectivity, this LED TV brings wireless technology that would be an added advantage. The TV boasts of a built-in wireless receiver, which is kept on a low mode of 60GHz signal that would avoid the interference of wi-fi signals coming from other devices.

Wow a 72 inch 1080P 480Hz LED TV for 3.5K is an awesome deal. But it does not support HDMI 1.4 so I won’t be able to play 3D video games from a PS3, or PC and it won’t be able to talk to a 3D Blueray DVD player. And who is going to manufacture 3D movies on standard Blueray DVDs in their proprietary format?

I agree with Kenson!!! I also waited for this TV. But am nearing completion of a living room remodel and will now purchase a 65″ from someone else. Vizio should not promise something that they can not commit too. I’m tired of waiting and moving on. Vizio you lose!

I’m not sure what Hank is talking about being HDMI 1.4 is backwards compatible.

Seems Vizio is taking back the lead over Japenses and Korean TV set makers. Good price, large screen of very good quality and great 3D with Sensio. Now Sony must be quite in trouble to deliver nothing comparable and with even lower quality at higher price. Japanese have become conservative where they used to be leaders!

Agree with Kenson and Dave, we were mislead about this product – ieven mad inquires to VIzio directly (via phone, email, and #Vizosupport) and thier agents never mention the death of this supposidly August release . They said they never got any information about the release or non release of thsi product. I am afraid that they will try this bait again in CES 2011
