Many in-demand sites like Rhapsody, Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand and Yahoo TV widgets are supported in this set. You have the privilege of viewing videos, photos and playing music on these sites. Vizio XVT423SV Features and Specifications Review:
- TruLEDTM backlighting with Smart Dimming (128 zones)
- VIZIO Internet AppsTM
- Built-in WiFi 802.11n dual-band
- Bluetooth Universal Remote Control
- 240Hz refresh rate
Vizio has developed an interesting technology to offer a more enhanced refresh rate. This set has 240Hz SPS refresh rate which is the same as 120 Hz refresh rate with scanning backlight. The effectiveness of this kind of technology will come to the fore when the first few sets reach the audience later this year. Nevertheless, it is expected that the action scenes will be a pleasure to watch because even 120 Hz is enough to get rid of blurring and artifacts. You can easily play your fast computer games or watch action movies with very clear and crisp images.
The manufacturer has opted to keep this set LED back-lit. This gives a more even distribution of brightness with about 128 zones of brightness zones. This is called the Smart Dimming technology which makes use of brightness as desired. It brightens up or darkens the zones as per the lighting required. This also helps in conserving the energy in the set. With all HDTV companies trying to use as less energy in the TVs as possible, this set too complies with the Energy Star 4.0 requirements. This set has all the ingredients of being a favorite among the consumers. With good looks and great features, it promises to be a set to look out for.

Do not buy this TV if you are doing so to take advantage of the VIA apps. You can’t control the TV’s menus without a working remote. So when your VUR10 remote breaks, good luck using the TV. VIZIO will promise to have you a new one within 3-5 days but you may wait several weeks for a replacement like I am.
Best ok the market. Vizio hands down is the best of all tv LCD tv’s.. I have 2 already and pics are great ad now with this 240hz I want leave my room on sat and sun watching football.. Can’t wait to see every angle of the plays and see my son and I on the sideline for recorded UT games.. Don’t be a fool and waste money on Sony, panasonic, samsung, sharp, or any of the overly priced tv’s.. Vizio weeps their butt hands down across the board including customer support which I user to get info on this new tv model..
I LOVE this TV ! Excellent picture, alot of apps, and great sound for an LCD. I’ve been a Sony lover for quite a long time. After my last Sony HD died after only 3 and a half years, I decided to do research. I watched reviews for about 6 months and saw Vizio gaining great reviews so I took a chance. I am glad I did, not only is this the best picture hands down, the calibration n settings are so easy. My kids hooked their play station up and it is breathtaking. I truly hope Vizio continues on this streak. Great price for a TV that stomps on the high end rip offs. Good job Vizio.
We’ve had this TV for almost 5 months now and the picture is wonderful, best i’ve seen for the money.
2 weeks ago we thought the dvd player was going out so picked up a new one, unfortunatly it’s the tv digitally scrambling the picture.
