Vizio XVT3D424SV Review: 42” LED LCD HDTV

Up for Review: Vizio XVT3D424SV LED LCD TV. This is the smallest of the three 3D HDTVs launched recently by Vizio. The manufacturer has pulled back the 72-inch flagship model released at the beginning of the year and has given the consumers these three more choices. Vizio has played around with the 480Hz refresh rate announced in January 2010 and now tags it as 480Hz SPS refresh rate. This is in fact, 240Hz with scanning backlight. It remains to be seen how successful the manufacturer is in totally obliterating the blurring in the high action scenes. With HDTV companies getting obsessed with integrating very high refresh rates, there is no use getting carried away with the effort. It was always a big question mark as to how 480Hz would be practically achievable and if it was at all necessary.
