I bought our tv 07-18-2010 our tv went out on 08-18-2011, I did not buy the ext warrenty. I called vizio they advised me it was the back light and my warrenty was up. She gave me the number to the HDrepair, for me to call and have them to fix it at my expense. I called the HDrepair they advised me that my tv could not be fixed, the back light in this model can not be replaced. I called vizio back, they are telling me that they can not do anythang about this. I ask did they tell there costomers that this tv that they are buying can NOT be repaired if the backlight goes out she said NO. I told her if i had been told that i sure would have bought the ext. warrenty. Vizio tells me all they can do is offer me a tv at a very discounted price they say of $352 + tax with a 3 month warrenty, and this is not a brand new tv. I will never buy another vizio product and if i am in the store where people are looking at tvs i will sure tell them of my experance with the VIZIO company.

I bought Vizio HD TV, model VT420M. Was very please for a while. Then I started losing audio from time to time. Then I lost the picture, with only Vizio logo appearing on the screen. Unfortunately, I purchased the TV 1 year and 2 months before the problems started. My TV viewing averages maybe 2 hours a week, so this breakdown is unacceptable. Neither Vizio nor Sam's Club will do anything. I will never purchase another Vizio.

We purchased the Visio VT420m in the summer of 2010. We enjoy the set very
much with one exception; The volume control seems to have a mind of it"s own.
We have talked to other people who have this problem also. When the set is on
the volume constantly goes up and down. It does this all the time the set is on.
If anybody out there has this problem, let me hear from you.
