Vizio VA22LF Review: 22” 1080p LCD HDTV

Up for review: Vizio VA22LF. Only 2.5” thin, the Vizio VA22LF HDTV has a very sleek look to it. It is a great option for spare bedrooms, college dorm rooms or dens. The size of the LCD makes it possible for it to be fitted into any small room.

It exhibits superb picture quality with 1920 x 1080p resolution. The clarity and crispness of the images are very impressive. The VA22LF sports 2 HDMI inputs, and component, composite and S-video inputs. This LCD can double as a computer monitor too because of the integrated RGB input. A viewing angle of 170 degrees is considered to be optimal for this HDTV. A viewer can watch the images from anywhere in the room without much discomfort to the eyes.

ATSC/QAM/NTSC digital television tuners are incorporated in this LCD. This makes paid high definition service unnecessary for basic channels. There is a side input game port which allows gaming consoles to be connected. A headphone is also provided for this purpose.

Vizio has used an advanced polarizer which gives less reflectivity andconserves power. It is able to meet the Energy Star 3.0 criteria. More features like an USB port could have been provided for more flexibility but with a price of $349.99 MSRP, it has everything need to be the perfect extra LCD TV.
