VIZIO SV370XVT Review – 37″ 1080P LCD TV

Up for review: Vizio SV370XVT.  Packed with enhanced video and audio quality along with great Multi-Media features, the new VIZIO SV370XVT is another recently launched model from the its highly innovative XVT Series. Scheduled to be available in market with a cost of around $999.99 by fall 2009, the new VIZIO SV370XVT is embedded with many high-end features.

This XVT Series model is outfitted with the Advanced Glare Polarizer (AGP) and Enhanced In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology. The AGP improvises the contrast ratio up to 60% especially in brightly lit rooms. This seems to be a much better option than the Anti-Glare screens that were available in earlier LCD models which tended to create an overall haze on the TV image. And the IPS feature is expected to produce vivid and clear pictures at wider viewing angles. Empowered with FULL HD 1080P and 120 Hz refresh rate, image quality has to be superb in the new VIZIO SV370XVT. In addition, the 50,000:1 Mega Dynamic contrast ratio takes care to eliminate possible motion-blur during fast action sequences.

I’m delighted with the 37″ VIZIO we bought at SAM’s Club. It was their last one – the floor demo. I had to send the sales associate back twice for the manual and then the HDME cable. Not only does it have a great picture, but the LCD screen seems to defuse the glare we get every from the windows on the other side of the room. Sound works fine with or without the surround sound cranked up.

We love the 37 inch VIZIO we bought at walmart. We chose between the SONY and the VIZIO. We are extremely happy with the VIZIO.

I really like the set based on price and performance, I was going to buy a Samsung and or Sony, but this set is great for a office or a bedroom. I think you can do much better on black levels but the price is the deal breaker here. Decent sound and decent hookups, needs a anti-glare screen.

Great TV for the price. I have it in my bedroom and cannot be more impressed! The USB port feature for watching slide shows is sweet!
The only drawback is, it doesnt support hard drives so I can’t watch downloaded movies.
I did a lot of research and this TV was the best priced for the features I wanted.
