STAY AWAY FROM VIZIO PRODUCTS-At less than three years old we are told our $1,000 VIZIO 42” Flat Panel TV is “NOT REPAIRABLE”. VIZIO’s customer service offered no reasonable remedy. (They did offered certified replacement TV’s [with only 90 day warranty] at prices comparable to NEW sets of better companies [ie. Sharp]). This set is a TOTAL LOSS. =================================
MAYBE A RECALL IS IN ORDER!!!!!
I will be emailing this collection to Consumer Reports for their investigation.

I completely agree with everyone above. TV is great when it works. Exactly 2yrs to the month from date of purchase the damn thing literally blew up. Made a loud BANG sound and now they said its unfixable. The screen is the part that no longer functions. We will never buy Vizio again. Received no help from any of the tech or customer support numbers we called.

Don't do it! I've had audio problems since it was 6 months old and things are slowly getting worse! The functions freeze with a loud tone/buzz and have to unplug to fix it. The channel +/- buttons quit working on the tv and remote; tonight a new problem presented. A buzz can be heard annoyingly loud in the background of regular audio. And of course the warranty is out. I'm bummed because when the tv works correctly I really enjoy watching it! And I can't afford to replace it.

Our 42" Vizio's picture went out after 18 months. After many phone calls & "discussions", Vizio wants to replace with a "returned" one ......with only the remaining 6 months warranty on it. Will never recommend or buy another Vizio.

Bought a Vizio 42 in LCD within 90 days started overheating. Wal-mart better take it back. I am concerned about getting a new one. Is it going to have problems too.

Please dont make the mistake of buying Vizio. We have a 42 inch LCD HDTV and the power board of it has failed twice in 2 years. And the customer service is not so good.
