Viore LC32VX60HDT Review: 32” LCD HDTV

Up for Review: Viore LC32VX60HDT LCD TV. With a native resolution of 1366 x 768, this HDTV provides very good picture quality. It is a well known fact that almost all television programs are telecast in 720p and hence this set will do justice to the images. The power of 1080p comes to the forefront when you want to watch good quality movies on the Blu-ray disc player. But because of the set being 720p, it sells for a far lesser price than if it would have been 1080p. This is advantageous to most viewers who do not want to contribute a lot of money for buying an HDTV.

The Viore LC32VX60HDT has a contrast ratio of 1200:1 which is very good for the image quality. The resulting black levels are pretty good in some scenes but sometimes you wish that the blacks were still darker, and the whites, a more sparkling color. The contrast ratio can be improved to provide a crisper and clearer picture. The brightness is good and the images look natural under both bright lighting and in darkness. The 32” screen is just perfect to be kept in any room. It can easily fit into a living room or even be the pride of your eyes inside the bedroom.

Viore LC32VX60HDT Features and Specifications Review:

  • 32” display
  • Integrated ATSC TV tuner
  • 1366 x 768 native resolution
  • Contrast ratio of 1200:1
  • 500 cd/m2 luminance
  • 2 HDMI
  • Built-in speakers (8W x2)
  • VGA port
  • 170˚ viewing angle

The viewing angle is only 170 degrees which is not very good when you view the TV from the side. It is always advisable to watch the TV while sitting directly in front of it. The color tends to fade at the sides and the picture quality is also not up to the mark. Audio also takes a beating with only 16 W output power. Though it is good enough inside closed rooms, a higher power is the demand of the day. Most other reputed brands sport very high audio output power.

The remote control is a good one which fits snugly in the hands. It has all the required buttons and is quite useful while navigating. Connectivity is as usual good like in all Viore models with 2 HDMI and composite and component video inputs. There is also a VGA input to use the HDTV as a computer monitor. Besides the good connectivity, the Viore LC32VX60HDT also sports an in-built ATSC/NTSC tuner which can relay all free-to-air signals on the TV. This HDTV is mostly meant for people who want a good HDTV with the basic features and for whom paying a high price for an HDTV is not possible.

YouReviewElectronics.com gives Viore LC32VX60HDT 8/10 stars!

My kids bought one for me for Christmas 2010….by Feb. everything on the screen was neon green. Getting Viore to assign a service repair company was a nightmare. Took almost 2 weeks just to get a servicer number. Repair company took TV for 2 weeks – brought it back saying it worked fine….and it did for a whopping 5 months. Now it’s doing the same thing. I have called Viore 4 times in the past 7 days trying to a servicer assigned to it….I know I will be without a tv for at least a month. NIGHTMARE! Never again. DO NOT BUY VIORE TV FROM WALMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought this from Walmart in December. Had it for nearly 10 months, never a problem. We do have it plugged into a surge protector, perhaps that’s why we’ve never had screen issues? Other sites I’ve read about this TV, and most of the reviews are very positive.

Got this TV for about a year and a half, i’m a gamer and my son watches all day the tv, no issues so far and the picture quality is great on games (ps3, xbox360), the only con is the audio but hey, who uses the factory audio from tv’s anyways.
