Viore LC26VF59 Review: 26” LCD HDTV

Up for Review: Viore LC26VF59 LCD TV. Viore has entered the HDTV market with an intention to make itself popular mainly in the smaller display segment. The HDTVs are of good standard and it has all the standard features for a very decent price. This particular model has a 26-inches screen but has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 which is very good for the images. A perfect 1920 x 1080p is an excellent opportunity to view the movies in its original picture quality and the prevailing resolution is also very good to view all the television programs which are mainly telecast in 720p.

A review shows that Viore has integrated sophisticated technology to get brilliant color depth, brightness and contrast. The contrast ratio of 1000:1 is favorable for good black levels. Although the blacks need a lot of improvement according to the standards set by the recent models from Samsung, LG and Sony, the color is very good if you sit in front of the TV. Since the blacks need to be enhanced, the overall picture can be better. Because of the depth of color, the images are very natural and clear.

Viore LC26VF59 Features and Specifications Review:

  • 26” display
  • Technology TFT active matrix
  • Display Format 1080p (FullHD)
  • Image Aspect Ratio 16:9
  • Image Contrast Ratio 1000:1
  • Progressive Scan
  • V-Chip Control
  • ATSC/NTSC tuner
  • Infrared remote control
  • 2 HDMI
  • VGA interface

There is a V-chip control which allows you to lock certain channels which you do not want your child to view. In this way, you can screen your children from adult sites. The presence of an Infrared remote control helps to gain control over all the devices connected to the HDTV. This helps to remove unnecessary clutter of a number of remotes. The remote is also quite handy and fits nicely into the palm making navigation easy. The buttons are also well placed and quite easy to differentiate.

The Viore LC26VF59 has an ATSC/NTSC tuner which helps to access both analog and digital signals. You don’t need a separate set top box to view television programs. But this device is a must if you want to see encrypted channels. Connectivity is very sound with 2 HDMI and 1 composite, component and S-video input each. There is also a VGA input which allows the HDTV to be used as a computer monitor. The lack of a USB port is very disturbing. You cannot attach a digital camera to the device. The price is very good considering all the features that you get. Buying it is a good idea.
