Here's how I got rid of my hum on a 232v (232-S13) and hope this helps some of you out there. Press Menu > Picture > Mode > Power Up. Once there Switch to "Home" instead of "Showroom". As soon as I did that my hum disappeared completely. I can't guarantee that it will work with everybody's but I played with every setting hoping to get rid of the hum and that's what did the trick for me. Hope this helps somebody. I love the color and the crisp, clear picture is just great. AS far as connection's go, I have a surround system, and have plenty of input's to connect it as well as my DVD player and VCR etc. I did not know about this brand and took a chance...obvious, price was a factor, but I am very glad I took a chance. Of course I was amazed when I hooked it up, and found that Digital was already in the air. I am using an indoor antenna and recepition is great. It is like having Cable/Dish, but no bill. You may be able to spend more $, but I really don't think the picture can be that much better. Having said that, I am sure many will disagree.
