The Sony KDL-40W3000 is the 40 inch LCD in Sony’s mid-level KDL-W3000 line. It is a step up from the KDL-S3000 series and a step below either of the XBR lines. The KDL40W3000 styling is pretty simple but still classy with an all black surround. The speakers are bottom mounted which we prefer for space reasons. It has the latest features including 1080p resolution which is the highest resolution possible. A review of the Sony KDL-40W3000 find that this HDTV is really impressive. This Sony KDL40W3000 has the quality and features that you’d look for in a LCD HDTV. In fact, it might have more than you even need. The high resolution of 1080p isn’t even going to be noticeable on a TV of this size at a normal viewing range. If you are withing a couple of feet from the scree, you may be able to notice. If you’re looking for a TV in this price range, the KDL40W3000 is definitely a good option but you might be well suited at the model just below this while saving a few bucks.
