Up for review: Sony KDL-40XBR7. The all new Sony KDL-40XBR7 is near-perfect especially for those who were impressed with Sony’s XBR8 series LCD TVs but shied away from buying it due to their exorbitant prices. While priced around $2,699.99, this LCD TV is adorned with many of the latest features.
Along with Full HD 1080p resolution the new KDL-40XBR7 has Sony’s BRAVIA Engine™ EX fully digital video processor to improve the color accuracy and reduce any kind of noise distortion. For smoother and judder-free picture quality, this LCD TV uses Motionflow™ 120Hz with double frame rate technology. This is not all, Sony BRAVIA XBR7-Series is embellished with two other features of which the Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE) circuit adjusts contrast color dynamically to produce deeper blacks while preserving shadow details. The second feature, the Live Color Creation™ technology in combination with a special WCG-CCFL backlight refines the color even further and delivers a more real-life image quality.
