Samsung UN55B7000 Review: 55” LED HDTV

Up for Review: Samsung UN55B7000 LED TV. Samsung has introduced a pricey range of HDTV’s this season. But since the features are also very good, it is a good choice for the large-sized living rooms. Samsung leads the world now in the manufacture of LED TVs. No other manufacturer has gone into production of LEDs as much as Samsung yet. The functions are basically the same as most LCD TV’s. But the main difference is that the new range of TVs use light emitting diodes in place of liquid crystal diodes. However, this brings along a significant savings in energy, leading to lower electricity bills.

The Samsung UN55B7000 has many interactive add-ons including an adjustable dejudder mode. But this HDTV still leaves a lot more to be desired in the black levels and also in the uniform picture aspect. At off-angles, the picture does not appear to be uniform throughout. There are also unpleasant variations in the backlight which makes the picture look worse than normal. But the design and features of this HDTV are exceptional and will give a tough competition to the other models.

Another unique feature of the Samsung UN55B7000 is that being an LED it produces a lot less heating. It keeps the panel cooler for longer.

The most notable feature of the Samsung UN55B7000 is the additional bar located at the bottom of the display. It carries a number of Internet-powered information modules, which can be accessed to give the related Yahoo widget. These widgets range from news, stocks, weather to Flick photos. You can also get access to videos and photos via the internet connection.
