Review of Samsung LN46A850: 46” 1080p LCD TVSamsung LN46A850

The stylish and beautiful Samsung LN46A850 is ready to storm the market with its innovative HD design and a brilliant 46″ LCD screen. The LN46A850 is the thinnest LCD panel television with a new slim and trim frame and a depth of only 1.9 inches at its widest.

The Samsung LN46A850 has an Ultra Clear Panel for improved contrast ratios and deep black levels. Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology maximizes the expanded color range for true to life colors. In comparison to other HDTV’s where images may appear weak without over-saturation, this Samsung model supports a 1920 x 1080p resolution power, for crisper and sharper images, detailed to perfection.

The Samsung LN46A850 comes with a side-mountable USB 2.0 port which is compatible with Digital Living Network Alliance for easy connection to and content sharing with other DLNA-CERTIFIED products, such as a computer.
With an array of advanced features, this Samsung stunner is priced at around $2,699.99 MSRP.

I agree with all the features mentioned above.. except…….the sound quality is not up to par with it’s outstanding specs.. this tv should be connected to a home theater or a standalone speaker system. I got this tv at Amazon.com .. ordered on a Sunday and delivered on the following Wednesday…

Thinking of buying a Samsung HDTV? Don’t do it – unless you want a very large, expensive paper weight and like being tortured by “customer support” personnel. I purchased a Samsung 46” LCD HDTV and after two and a half years, it suffered a catastrophic “panel” failure, rendering the TV useless. The assessment of the repair shop to which Samsung directed me was that the cost of repair would exceed replacement its cost. Being beyond the Samsung one-year warranty period, the Samsung authorized repair shop could do nothing but suggest I contact Samsung for assistance in replacing the set given its young age and enormity of the repair. So I got in touch with Samsung’s “Executive Customer Relations” department (an oxymoron for a group of morons), who gave me the runaround for a month, promising call backs that were never (and I mean not once) made. I have finally given up, and by posting my story, hope to save you from a similar fate. Seriously – stay away from Samsung HDTVs. They are crap. And their customer support is worthless.
