The Samsung LN46A500 LCD TV not only offers excellent picture quality, its audio quality is also pretty satisfactory. With its SRS TruSurround XT™ technology and 20 Watt built-in speakers, this LCD TV offers the full surround-sound experience, even if you don’t have set up for surround-sound. The ATSC tuner and QAM digital tuner gives this Samsung LCD TV the capability to receive free over-the-air digital broadcast content.

For high definition connectivity, the Samsung LN46A500 has 3 HDMI inputs, 2 component video inputs, 1 composite A/V and 1 S-video input are there. With the PC input, you can use the Samsung flat panel as a computer monitor for watching online content. You can even block undesirable content through the V-Chip parental controls, so that your kids can’t access them while watching the HDTV content. In other words, the new Samsung LN46A500 seems like making the best purchase by offering the most out of this hi-def system.

YouReviewElectronics.com gives the Samsung LN46A500 9/10 stars!

Thinking of buying a Samsung HDTV? Don’t do it – unless you want a very large, expensive paper weight and like being tortured by “customer support” personnel. I purchased a Samsung 46” LCD HDTV and after two and a half years, it suffered a catastrophic “panel” failure, rendering the TV useless. The assessment of the repair shop to which Samsung directed me was that the cost of repair would exceed replacement its cost. Being beyond the Samsung one-year warranty period, the Samsung authorized repair shop could do nothing but suggest I contact Samsung for assistance in replacing the set given its young age and enormity of the repair. So I got in touch with Samsung’s “Executive Customer Relations” department (an oxymoron for a group of morons), who gave me the runaround for a month, promising call backs that were never (and I mean not once) made. I have finally given up, and by posting my story, hope to save you from a similar fate. Seriously – stay away from Samsung HDTVs. They are crap. And their customer support is worthless.

I had the same experience as James. Horrible televisions, brutal customer service. “We we call you in three business days……,” maybe they are calling on Samsung phones that broke after two days of use?

If you have invested in this company, sell your shares. Doing business the way they have decided to in the past 2 years is solidifying their Circuit City-like fate.

I would use a lot naughtier words to describe these thieves, but I want to ensure this post stays up for everyone to read!
