Samsung LN32B360 Review: 32” LCD HDTV
Up for Review: Samsung LN32B360C5D LCD TV. Samsung has introduced this TV for the average consumer who just wants a basic HDTV for viewing. There is no sophisticated technology to talk about. However, Samsung has included all the interesting features like an ultra slim design and a good contrast ratio of 8000:1. The contrast ratio is perhaps a bit low compared to the standard values in other upgraded versions. Consequently, the black levels are somewhat affected and you can notice the difference if you compare with the better products from Samsung.
The colors are however, very vibrant in the Samsung LN32B360. With CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) technology and Wide Color Enhancer2, every shade is given a different look and the overall picture quality is extremely natural. Additionally, the beauty of the images is further emphasized by the 720p resolution. This is quite enough to view all the television programs. After all, most of the television programs are telecast in 720p. But you might feel a bit annoyed when you view the movies on the Blu-ray disc players. It would certainly give a better picture quality with 1080p.

There is a built-in HDTV tuner which streams free-to-air signals to the TV. This makes it possible to view only the free channels. If you plan to see the encrypted channels, you will need the set top box. You may be required to pay a monthly subscription for that. Along with the tuner, Samsung also provides very good audio facility with two built-in speakers of 5W each. The SRS Surround Sound is also available on this TV. The whole room will be filled with the sound from the TV. You can hear the audio distinctly anywhere in the room.
There are only 2 HDMI in this model. You can connect a camcorder, a gaming device or a Blu-ray disc player. Besides the HDMI, you also get other inputs like a component video input, composite video input and a PC input. The PC input can be used to convert the HDTV into a computer monitor. And because of there being very less cables in this TV, it looks a good sight on the walls. Being priced at $549.99 MSRP, it is quite affordable for everyone. It is a good buy for people who don’t want to invest more in the sophisticated features on the other TVs.

After just three months all but one of the HDMI inputs do not work. In order to repair you have to repackage and ship the TV in at your own expense. Think twice before buying a Samsung!!!!!
