Samsung LN32A450 Review: 32” LCD TV

Up for review: Samsung LN32A450. The Samsung LN32A450 is a top contender for a compact TV. The compact size as well as the light weight of this model makes it suitable to fit in office, bedroom or even kitchen. Loaded with Samsung’s proprietary Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe) technology, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, and 16:9 wide aspect ratios, the new LN32A450 produces excellent image quality. In addition, the 60Hz screen refresh rate and 6ms response time reduces the motion blur during high definition broadcast. Although, 120HZ would have been preferred, the 6ms response time balances the shortcomings produced by 60 refresh rate.

With a price of around $699.99, the Samsung LN32A450 is a good bargain. It has a smart user interface entertainment mode through which you can customize the picture settings as per the choice of your content you want to view.

Apart from true 720p resolution and the 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the Samsung LN32A450 has another innovative feature to produce vivid colors image quality and the feature is Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp or CCFL. Also the 1366 x 768 pixel resolution adjusts the image quality coming from a variety of digital and analog audio/video sources. The expanded range of color expression is also due to the Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology.

The built-in tuners of the Samsung LN32A450 helps in accessing both digital as well as analog over-the-air content broadcast. Of course for that separate antenna will be required. However, cable TV subscribers can take advantage of the built-in “QAM” digital cable tuner to watch the high definition broadcast without using a separate set-top box.
