Samsung LN32A300 Review: 32” LCD HDTV

Up for review: Samsung LN32A300.  The Samsung LN32A300 is a great introductory HDTV at a great price. With an affordable price of around $499.99, this high-definition 32″ LCD HDTV delivers spectacular images and brilliant colors with a 1366 x 768 resolution and 6000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. When connected to a high definition signal, the new LN32A300 can display more realistic, sharper pictures and crisp, crystal-clear sound. The digital artifacts which often occur while transferring the motion pictures to a digital format such as DVD are taken care by the 3:2 pulldown feature of this HDTV set.

This wide aspect LCD TV is well suited for all kind of high definition programming including the DVD movies recorded in the popular 16:9 format. The 6ms pixel response time which eliminates any blurring and gives you smooth-motion action scenes is one of the most striking features of this high-definition television. With the V-chip control feature available in the LN32A300 LCD TV, you can now easily block any objectionable content which you feel your kids shouldn’t watch.

With 2 built-in 20 Watt speakers, this LCD TV delivers an enhanced, virtual surround-sound listening experience. Even though you don’t have a surround-sound setup, thanks to the SRS TruSurround XT effect, your HDTV audio experience definitely is going to another level.

However there are certain minor flaws observed in the new Samsung LN32A300. Like the presence of a single rear connector location. As a result the component and composite inputs have to share ports. Also there is no S-video input included in this LCD TV. This HDTV also lacked 1080p resolution which is the highest possible resolutino possible.  However, with only a 32-inch screen, there isn’t a very noticeable difference.  But then in comparison to its very inexpensive price the Samsung LN32A300 has many good features and can be a reasonable value for the money.
