Up for review: Samsung LN22A650. A perfect union of LCD HDTV technology with sophisticated style, the new Samsung LN22A650 with a red bezel matte finish is an eye catcher. As part of Samsung’s new Series 6 LCD models, the 22” LN22A650 features many high definition advancements. To begin with, a Touch of Color technology has been used in these Series 6 LCD’s, which means a rich red hue has been infused into the solid bezel and thus making a bold style statement.
With 720p native resolution with a built-in image scaler, the Samsung LN22A650 seamlessly accepts high definition content from various digital and analog audio/video sources. The LCD features Samsung’s innovative cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) to improvise the image quality further. A dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000:1 isn’t quite as high as larger TV’s but the new LN22A650 boasts wide color enhancer technology to make the picture appear at its best. And a 8ms response time ensures crisper images minus any motion blur especially during fast action scenes. The 22” screen is ideal for small to medium sized rooms or office use.
