Use of LED backlight technology enables the model to save energy up to 40% compared to conventional LFD displays. The model is Energy Star 5.0 compliant. Samsung claims that the LFD TV models use the lightest, slimmest and most energy efficient LCD display in the world.

With the EX and EXn models of HDTVs, Samsung has introduced its new line of LFD models that have unique and appealing features for the discerning HDTV buyers.
