Mitsubishi LT-52151 Review: 52” LCD HDTV

Up for Review: Mitsubishi LT-52151 LCD TV. Audio is the center of attraction in this Unisen model from Mitsubishi. An impressive array of 16 speakers lines the bottom panel of the TV. The effect produced is 5.1 surround sound, simulating the principle of virtual surround speakers. But a price tag of $2199.98 MSRP for this enhanced sound system seems to be a bit on the higher side. The surround sound unit can be availed at a much cheaper rate and used as an attachment.

A review of the Mitsubishi LT-52151 shows an Ultra Thin frame design which is less than an inch and this is instrumental in making the TV look like an all-picture screen. This is one simple feature of almost all Mitsubishi TVs which imparts an alluring look to it. On big sized screens, you get the impression of watching movies in theaters. The Mitsubishi LT-52151 has not yet reached the standards of 240Hz refresh rate. But even 120 Hz is enough to take care of most of the artifacts in the images. The resulting picture is crystal clear with no blurring in the fast action sequences. You can now watch the car races and sports action without being troubled by hazy and blurred images. The scenes which need a slow panning of the camera also look good in this HDTV because of the 120 Hz refresh rate.

Mitsubishi makes great provisions for an improved color. There are a host of shades provided by PerfectColor. The video performance is also quite good with SharpEdge and improved video noise reduction. The Mitsubishi LT-52151 also provides a lot of connectivity options with an USB port and 4 HDMI. You can now connect digital cameras and other high definition devices to the TV and make the most of your viewing experience. This TV is quite complete in most respects. It will make a good addition to your spacious home.
