Memorex MLT3221 Review: 32” LCD HDTV

Up for Review: Memorex MLT3221 LCD TV. The Memorex MLT3221 is a 32-inch LCD TV available online at Amazon.com. Overall, this HDTV is fairly standard looking with undermounted speakers. This TV would fall more in-line with the other budget brands out there. It’s not the most amazing TV available but you’ll save a lot of money.

The presence of 2 HDMI connections provides no scope for complaints about connectivity. You have the option of using your Blu-ray disc player and camcorder to view the latest movies and videos. Gaming devices can also be connected to play the most interesting and exciting video games. The PC VGA input makes sure that you can use the Memorex MLT3221 as a computer monitor. However, there is no USB port to connect digital devices like cameras and the like. Additionally, there are 2 component video inputs and 2 composite video inputs along with an S-video input.

Picture quality is very good with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Although this is not the ultimate in resolution, it provides images which are free from any distortion. A 3D comb filter takes care of the noise and the 8 ms response time makes the images completely free of artifacts and blurring. The contrast ratio is also decent at 1500:1 although it is of no match with the huge figures given by Samsung and rest of the new branded HDTVs. The resulting black levels are also pretty good.

The viewing angle of 176 degrees affords great luxury to the viewer. You can sit in any part of the room and still get a great view. The colors are pretty steady at the edges. Other important features include parental control function, sleep timer and a multilingual on-screen graphical user interface. It gives the user great flexibility in navigating through the functions of the TV. The Memorex MLT3221 is a good set with decent features. It will make a good addition to the living room.
