LG 55LE5500 Review: 55” LED HDTV

Up for Review: LG 55LE5500 LED TV. In its quest to strike a balance between researching and integrating new technology for enhanced picture quality and keeping the price within affordable limits, LG has come up with this particular series. While it has some of the latest features introduced by LG, it lacks the primary 3D technology which is the highlight of the best TVs launched this year. Yet, this TV is pretty good as it has the LED technology called LED Plus. This results in a wonderful picture quality because of the 16 addressable segments on the display, which can be adjusted for various types of picture quality. This clearly provides you with an option for choosing the picture quality of your choice.

Like all good LED TVs, this set also provides a very high dynamic contrast ratio. Consequently, the images come out in striking colors with distinct outlines and complete uniformity. The pictures look crisp and clear. The black levels also receive a great lift and the dark areas are blacker than ever before. With pristine blacks and whites, the images look very natural and in a 55-inch display, you almost feel like experiencing live the events going on in the TV.

Energy conservation is also another key issue in this model. The integration of a sensor makes sure that the minimum amount of energy is utilized. The sensor detects the light levels in the room and adjusts the brightness of the images accordingly. In this way, a lot of energy is saved and it certainly provides a relief to the bills you run up every month. This feature also is a boon for our eyes. The ambiance of the room has a soothing effect on our eyes and watching television for long hours is no longer a difficulty. Slated for a June release this year, you are sure to get a great product on your hands.
