LG 47LH30 Review: 47” 1080p LCD HDTV

Up for review: LG 47LH30 47-inch LCD TV.  The LG 47LH30 is the 47 inch model of the brand new LH30 series from LG.  The LG 47LH30 has integrated invisible speakers which give the set a sleek and elegant look. The front panel looks clean and glossy which really attracts the viewer. The ports and other connections have been attached at the back of the HDTV. Some of the controls are kept at the back too. Since there are no indications of these controls in the front panel it makes adjustment difficult.  A remote is very necessary for navigation through the controls.

The remote is good-looking with the buttons arranged in a disciplined manner. The buttons are not unnecessarily cluttered which makes pressing of these buttons easy. Like all HDTVs released by LG this year, more emphasis has been given to power conservation. The “Smart Energy Saving” package from LG has been incorporated in the LG 47LH30 too. Backlight control options, video mute and an Intelligent Sensor save a lot of power. Energy is used as per requirement only.

The LG 47LH30 has 3 HDMI inputs which can be connected to high definition devices. You can easily attach your gaming consoles and play your favorite video games. It also has a USB port through which you can access music and videos. A PC is not necessary for this purpose. A review of the connectivity options shows that you can access your photos with this HDTV.

The Super IPS panel structure provides faster response time which means better image quality. The movies can be enjoyed with the same enthusiasm as in theaters. The 24p Real Cinema also leads to improved videos. There is better access to content with easy calibration of both video and audio. The LG 47LH30 is one of LG’s cheaper models which means some extra features were left out.  However, the LG 47LH30 LCD TV has the necessary features to provide a good picture without the extra frills.
