LG 42LGX Review: 42” 1080p LCD HDTV
Up for review: the LG 42LGX. The distinguishing feature of this product is its thinness. Measuring an almost impossible 1.8” in thickness and weighing 39.7 lbs, this LCD HDTV is suitable to be mounted on walls easily. The red colored back accentuates the 42” flat panel giving it a more vibrant look. An innovative feature of LG 42LGX is the LED backlight. This improves the color gamut of the product, though it does not give a better power efficiency. Three separate LED’s produce a color spectrum which is compatible with the color filters of the LCD pixels. This improves the efficiency, and all the colors in the NTSC specification are displayed.
The 42LGX LCD TV has integrated an automatic sensor to optimize the brightness and color as need be. An invisible speaker system has been incorporated in the HDTV creating a clean exterior appearance. This allows a wider “sweet spot” and creates an audibly improved surround sound.
