Up for review: the LG 42LG70. LG has unveiled one of the most stunning models in home theater systems, the 42LG70. Sleek tear drop design coupled with invisible speakers make it a visual treat. Speaker grilles are done away with and invisible speakers take their place, resulting in an increased “sweet spot”. This leads to a much better audio quality. A full HD 1080p resolution enhances the picture quality to a great extent. Small details can be observed with amazing clarity on the LCD TV.
The Intelligent Sensor uses 4096 sensing steps to differentiate different levels of brightness, contrast, color and sharpness. This leads to optimized power consumption. 4x HDMI makes the LG 42LG70 capable of transmitting high definition video and high resolution audio over a single cable. This gives a neat and clutter free look to the HDTV. The SimpLink connectivity uses this HDMI to control other similar and compatible products.
