LG 32LG30 Review: 32” LCD TV
Up for review: the LG 32LG30. For those who enjoy customizing their TV’s picture but are not quite ready for the larger and expensive versions of LCD HDTV‘s, the LG 32LG30 would a great option. Endowed with extensive picture controls, comprehensive connectivity, solid screen uniformity and stylish design, the LG 32LG30 is definitely the best choice for people who do not want to break the bank for a LCD TV.
The LG 32LG30 is a delight for those who enjoy picture tweaking. With its glossy black finish, slightly curved bottom edge with an angled panel and pedestal atop a swiveling stand, the LG 32LG30 cuts a sleek looking figure. However, it is surprising that LG has ignored a dedicated button in its remote to toggle between image aspect settings. It has included a “Simplink” key for compatible HDMI-connected gear which most people never use. The LG 32LG30’s native resolution is the standard 1366×768 and not 1080p, which is overkill anyway at this screen size.

The seven picture modes of the LG 32LG30 are adjustable and independent per input. All of the five of the main picture modes indicate whether they are in custom or default settings with the presence or absence of the user printed after the mode name. Connectivity aspect of the LG 32LG30 leaves no stones unturned. It is complete with a pair of HDMI inputs, a PC input, two component-video inputs, one AV input with composite and S-video, an analog audio output and an optical digital output. The side panel has a USB port but for service only, not for thumb drives filled with digital photos.
Overall, the LG 32LG30 is somewhat expensive at the price range of $597.97-$799.95 as compared with off brand entry levels but its color accuracy after calibration will provide a better picture.
