Up for Review: Vizio XVT323SV LED LCD TV. As you view the Vizio models from the high end 55-inch models and travel downwards, you are bound to notice subtle changes in the features of the sets. However, Vizio has been quite generous with this set and even though it is not a big TV, it has all the features which will make it a hot favorite among people having smaller homes. You can also buy this 32-inch model for your office room or your kid’s room. Basically, this TV can fit into any small space or even be seated on a desk. The resolution is still 1080p which makes the picture quality quite excellent. With LED technology, you get to see razor-sharp images on the screen.
Since this TV uses LED back lit technology, it has many zones which light up and darken as per requirement. It uses Smart Dimming and thus provides better images with more brightness at the right areas. And even though it is back lit, its depth is only 2” which makes it good enough to be hung on the walls. The set has a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 which says a lot about the black levels. It can be safely assumed that you will be able to view darker blacks and purer whites than ever before. You will also be able to differentiate between the different levels of darkness. Read the rest of the Vizio XVT323SV Review – 32-inch LED LCD HDTV >>>

Up for Review: Vizio XVT473SV LED LCD TV. In a bid to provide custom-made models in the HDTV market, Vizio has introduced this set, which has most of the good features released this year except for 3D. This is to lure customers in this niche segment who want a huge display, great picture quality, all the latest features and yet a lower price. These customers are not yet ready for the 3D technology and would like to wait a year or two before indulging in it. Vizio has been clever enough and has left no stones unturned to turn on the aesthetic appeal of the set. You are sure to be attracted by the sleek front view along with all the ports which are neatly arranged at the back. The price of under $1500 MSRP will be another factor which makes the TV more appealing.
Vizio adds a new meaning to the refresh rate. According to the manufacturer, this set has 240Hz SPS refresh rate which is actually 120Hz refresh rate with scanning backlighting. It remains to be seen how capable this feature is in tackling the blurring and artifacts in the action scenes. If Vizio proves successful in providing clear and crisp pictures using this technology during car chases and sword fights, then it will pave the road for other HDTV manufacturers to follow suit. Being LED edge-lit, this set can prove to be a pretty picture on the walls because of its slim looks. Read the rest of the Vizio XVT473SV Review – 47-inch LED LCD HDTV >>>
Up for Review: Vizio XVT553SV LED LCD TV. Vizio has stepped back from the 3D TV’s to this 2D model but with reasonably good features. It modifies some features found in the 3D models and retains some of them. These models are meant for people who are Internet-savvy and would not mind spending a few dollars more on getting the 55-inch model, but are very skeptical about the 3D technology. They are happy with the normal 2D view but expect very good picture quality for their money. The TruLED backlighting technology makes sure that the brightness is evenly distributed throughout the screen and the Smart Dimming feature provides 120 brightness zones. Each of these zones lights up and darkens as needed thus giving improved images. A lot of energy is also conserved in this process.
This model has full 1080p resolution along with 240Hz SPS refresh rate. Just like in the 3D models, this amount to 120Hz refresh rate with scanning backlighting. But it is expected that this refresh rate will be able to get rid of all the blurring in the TV. It will be easier to judge once the product is released in the market and people are able to compare the images with those of the 480Hz models. Playing fast computer games, watching action movies and sports action will be a pleasure if the 240Hz SPS is capable of giving sharp pictures relieved of artifacts.
